Americans Are Stressed About Money
The recent National Financial Capability Study revealed that Americans are stressed about finances. The study itself focused on analyzing “financial anxiety” amongst different demographics. The study concluded that overall 53% of Americans stated that thinking about their personal finances gave them anxiety. In addition, 44% of Americans admitted to an increased heart rate when talking or thinking about their financial situation.
Anxiety and Finances
Among subgroups, millennials were found to be the most anxious with 63% feeling anxiety and stress when contemplating their finances. Women also seem to feel more anxiety about finances than men. 57% of women reported feeling financially anxious versus 47% of men.
